I am a Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist with extensive UK and overseas experience in treating children with both acute life-threatening medical conditions and chronic illnesses.
I cover most aspects of health for neonates, children and adolescents including conditions such as gastro-oesophageal reflux and milk intolerance in infants, allergies and asthma, headaches, enuresis (bed wetting), urinary tract infections, constipation and encopresis (soiling), children with heart murmurs and children who are failing to thrive including short stature. I have a special interest in children with dysmorphology and congenital syndromes. A routine normal baby check is included.
I have worked at Kingston Hospital in Surrey where I led the implementation of neonatal cooling in infants with hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy. I was also the lead paediatrician for shared care of children with liver disease at King’s College Hospital and children with rheumatological disorders at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
A wide range of overseas experience has enriched my medical practice and I was a member of The International Hospitals Group and Living Light International. I have had a lifelong interest in teaching of both undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainee doctors. This included organising the curricula, induction programmes and regular teaching of medical students from St George’s University of London, the Imperial College and those visiting from the American University of the Caribbean.
